돈도 되면 좋고요... ^^;
홈피 각 분야소개엔 다 좋은 말만 적혀있네요... -.-;
그냥 하고싶은거 해라..이런 말씀은 마시고요... ^^;

My computer does not support hangul input.
I would suggest you check some electrical engineering (EE)departments also, there are EE departments that conduct research in plasma, optics, and condensed matter applications. (The school where I recieved my MSEE, Univ. of New Mexico in one example)
As for settling in the USA, it is difficult for Physics PhD to find a permenant position (H-1 -> Greencard) unless your specialization has strong commercial applications (such as semiconductors). Univeristy positions are very hard to find for EVERYONE in physics (exception to this is top ~10%) .
If you consider yourself top 10% of the field, go ahead with physics. If you are not really sure, look for an applied physics type research in the EE field. Another field I would suggest is for physics students is applied electromagnetics - microwave, antenna, EMI/EMC engineering.
