CS 전공자가 Finance Background를 가질 수 있는 방법

금융회사와 연계해서 다뤄지고 있던데요..
Requirement에서 처음에 이런저런 프로그래밍 언어 경력을 요구한 후에
끝자락에 보면 꼭 'Financial background a must'이런 문구가 있더군요
이쪽 분야의 background로 인정할 만한 경험에는 어떤 것이 있나요?
그냥 금융펌에서 Entry-level programmer로 취업하는 것 정도인가요?

저도 이 문제에 관심이 좀 있어서 댓글을 기다렸는데, 아무도 안다시는군요. 참고가 되실까 해서 Goldman Sachs에서 저의 지도교수님께 보내온 메일의 일부를 적어봅니다.
Anyone with strong skills in Math and Computer Science will be considered. Prior knowledge of/experience in finance is not required ( candidate should be interested in finance though because he/she will be trained in finance here ). The job involves building stochastic and statistical models for fixed income markets and products, some of which are quite complex, requiring advanced mathematical and computational techniques. Interview questions will test the candidate on fundamentals such as probability, statistics, analysis, combinatorics, algorithms, OO and functional programming.

감사합니다. 대략 이런 자리에서의 경험 정도를 요구하겠네요.
확률, 통계, 해석학, 조합론, 알고리즘이라.. 결국 다 수학이군요;;
